About the Show

Bring A CBS 5 Meteorologist To Your School!

Bring a CBS 5 meteorologist to your school!

Are your educators looking for a fun and interactive way to teach weather? We welcome the opportunity to interact with the community, especially with Valley schools. With that said, we would like to bring the CBS 5 Weather Road Show to your school!

The CBS 5 Weather Road Show presents your students with an opportunity to learn about severe weather, TV weather forecasting, fun weather facts, as well as other specific weather elements from meteorologists who live weather daily!

There are a few things to keep in mind when considering having the CBS 5 Weather Road Show come to your school. The CBS 5 Weather Road Show presentation lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the amount of questions from students, and works well in classroom settings with around 150 students involved. We are available for school visits on Wednesdays at 1:15pm, Thursdays at 10am and Fridays at 1:15pm. Scheduled dates are tentative and may be subject to rescheduling based on availability, breaking news and other various conflicts. We will not schedule school visits on or around holidays. A TV, VCR, table, wipe board and curious kids are the only things we need to be successful. As part of the presentation, classes are sometimes shown weather segments from our evening newscast.

If you have any questions please fill out the submission form below and someone from CBS 5 will contact you.

As of now, the 2007-2008 school year is completely full! Check back often for updates and videos of this years school visits! Thank you and we look forward to working with you in the upcoming school year!
