Police Arrest Alleged 'Serial Speeder'
Speed Cams 'Flashed' On Elvis Saloum 55 Times, DPS Says

PHOENIX -- A "serial speeder" is now off Valley streets, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.In a news release sent Friday, DPS said its officers arrested Peoria resident Elvis Amir Saloum, 29, on Thursday on suspicion of criminal speeding and a count of reckless driving.Investigators had been searching for Salourn since July, DPS said.On 55 separate occasions, Saloum was snapped driving over the posted speed limit, and at one point cameras recorded his speed at 104 mph, DPS said.Saloum was booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail on 11 counts of criminal speeding. He has since posted bond.
