PHOENIX -- Arizona Department of Public Safety pursued a white Pontiac Grand Am for a short while on southbound State Route 51 Wednesday morning.Footage from Arizona Department of Transportation traffic cameras showed the car exiting the freeway at Colter Street.According to DPS spokesman Lt. Stephen Harrison, officers originally tried to pull the car over for improper use of the carpool lane.DPS stopped the pursuit once the car exited the freeway, Harrison said.
