If your short game needs work, head over to the all-weather putting greens. The kids can try their hand on the 18-hole miniature course or work on a different kind of swing in one of eight heated, weather-protected batting stations. PUTTS UP DOC MINI GOLF The operators of this Norwich course say the designer had so much fun he put in a 19th hole. The course zig-zags through lush landscaping and around ponds containing more than 450,000 gallons of water. One hole stretches 108 feet, there's a 24-foot waterfall, and, if that's not enough, the course has a volcano that erupts every 20 minutes. CONNECTICUT GOLF LAND AND GAMES There's golf and a whole lot more at this complex in Vernon. Golfers can test their skills on a nine-hole course and they don't even have to bring their own clubs. There's also an 18-hole miniature course that's lighted for after-dinner play; a curvy, paved go-kart track; kidz karts for the tykes, and bumper boats.
