Raleigh DWI checking station results in 30 violations

RALEIGH, N.C. -

A DWI checking station resulted in 30 violations early Saturday morning in early.

Between 12:30 and 3 a.m. Saturday, the Raleigh Police Department conducted a multi-agency DWI checking station in the 5400 block of northbound Creedmoor Road.

In addition to Raleigh police, the Apex; Cary; Garner; Rolesville police departments and the Wake County Sheriff's Office were also represented.

The Forensic Tests for Alcohol Branch of the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services supplied a mobile alcohol testing station, and the Wake County Magistrate's Office provided a magistrate to support the operation.

The checking station resulted in the following charges:

Nine driving while impaired violations, seven driving while license revoked violations, seven no operator's license violations, three drug violations, and four additional motor vehicle code violations.
