P.F. Chang's security breach impacts 2 Valley locations

Posted: Updated:

P.F. Chang's China Bistro is investigating a security breach at 33 of its U.S. locations, including two locations in the Valley - Peoria and Scottsdale.

In a statement released Monday, the company said the security of its card processing systems was compromised.

"We have reason to believe that the intruder may have stolen some data from certain credit and debit cards that were used during specified time frames," the company said.

The potentially stolen credit and debit card data includes the card number and in some cases also the cardholder's name and/or the card's expiration date, the company stated.

"However, we have not determined that any specific cardholder's credit or debit card data was stolen by the intruder," P.F. Chang's CEO Rick Federico said.

The Valley restaurants impacted are the P.F. Chang location at 16170 N. 83rd Ave. in Peoria between Feb. 21 and June 11.

The other location is the P.F. Chang's at 7135 E. Camelback Rd. in Scottsdale. between Oct. 19, 2013 and June 11.
