D-Backs reinstate Trumbo from disabled list

The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) reinstated outfielder Mark Trumbo from the 15-day disabled list and optioned outfielder Roger Kieschnick to Triple-A Reno, as announced by D-backs' Executive Vice President & General Manager Kevin Towers.

Trumbo, 28, hit a combined .458 (11-for-24) with a double, 5 home runs and 12 RBI in 7 rehab games with Reno and the AZL D-backs. In 3 rehab games with Reno from July 7-9, he hit .455 (5-for-11) with 3 home runs and 6 RBI. In 4 games with the AZL D-backs from July 1-5, he hit .462 (6-for-13) with 1 double, 2 homers and 6 RBI.

Trumbo is hitting .210 (17-for-81) with 3 doubles, 7 homers and 19 RBI in 21 games for the D-backs. He was placed on the disabled list with a stress fracture in his left foot on April 24 (retro to April 22). At the time, he was tied for the NL lead with 7 home runs and ranked second with 19 RBI.

Kieschnick, 27, hit .207 (6-for-29) with a double, a homer and 2 RBI in 19 games for the D-backs. In 59 games for Reno, he has batted .280 (63-for-225) with 17 doubles, 2 triples, 9 homers and 29 RBI. He was claimed by the D-backs off waivers from the San Francisco Giants on April 4.
