MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) -

Middletown may have gotten its name because it's halfway between Cincinnati and Dayton, but Middletown has created an identity all its own since its founding in 1833.

Nestled in Butler and Warren counties, Middletown is a center of business and community. It's small town feel has made it an All-American city, while its leadership's commitment to economic development has made it a center of commerce in the southwest Ohio region.

Middletown is also proud to be the home of Jerry Lucas, a two-time Naismith Basketball Memorial Hall of Famer who played for the Cincinnati Royals after a successful high school career at Middletown High School.

The Ohio Challenge is also proud to call Middletown home. Each summer, thousands of people come to the Middletown Regional Airport to see and ride hot air balloons, fly in bi-planes and try their hand at skydiving. This year's festival begins on July 11. It's part of your summer fun!
