Moto2 is one of three categories that make up the international 18-race MotoGP™ championship. The AirAsia-Caterham Moto Racing Team features two talented riders, 2013 American Motorcyclist Association champion Josh Herrin and former Moto2 Rookie of Year Johann Zarco. Racing teams use generators to run tire warmers, as warm tires provide greater traction at the start of a race.

"Having hot tires is necessary for safety, but also for winning races," Herrin said. "My team members and I can rest more easily knowing Yamaha power is there to help us get the grip we need."

The 2014 season features races as far away as the Qatar, Japan and Australia, in addition to competitions in Indianapolis and Austin, Texas.

"The Yamaha generators will help our team power the tools and conveniences we need throughout an action-packed MotoGP racing season," said Team Manager Johan Stigefelt. "We appreciate Yamaha's support and look forward to continuing our partnership."

The Yamaha EF2000iS is a powerful, portable generator with a maximum output of 16.7 amps and fitted with a sophisticated muffler and sound reducing panels to reduce noise. For tasks that require extra output, a parallel function lets users connect two generators to deliver up to 30 maximum amps. The EF2000iS also has earned the longest emission engine durability ratings issued by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board.

"The fast-paced world of Moto Racing needs power to keep up, and we're thrilled to support the AirAsia-Caterham Moto Racing Team with generators," said Dave Park, Yamaha's power products product line manager. "The EF2000iS is easy to transport to the track while still delivering maximum output for the team's needs."

Yamaha's entire generator model lineup is available online at www.yamaha-motor.com/generators or to find the closest dealer or call 1-800-88-YAMAHA.
