Pilot and teen die in crash near Page

A South Carolina man and a teenager were killed in a plane crash near Page, AZ.

The pilot has been identified as Charles Trotter, 47, of Liberty, SC and the passenger is Dakota Jacks, 15, of Pickens, SC.  Jacks was a family friend.

A crew with the Arizona wing of the Civil Air Patrol has located what is believed to be the wreckage of a plane that vanished after departing from the airport in Page, AZ, on Friday.

An FAA representative told CBS5 the fixed-wing, single-engine aircraft was heading to Anderson, SC from Las Vegas, NV.  The plane, a Mooney M20B, made a stop in Page on Friday.  

It was reported missing on Saturday.

The plane's last known position was when it departed the airport in Page, the FAA said.
