TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A local mother accused of holding her three daughters captive is still waiting for a trial date.

Sophia Richter was in court today for a status conference.

Her case is on hold while her husband, Fernando Richter, undergoes a mental evaluation.

As of now a trial date has not been set.

The couple is accused of holding Sophia's three daughters captive inside their homes in Tucson and Catalina until they were freed last year.

Richter and her husband have pleaded not guilty to several counts of kidnapping and child abuse.
