FLORENCE, AZ (CBS5) -

A Gilbert man could face as many as 10 felony counts of computer tampering for allegedly creating a fake Twitter account under his girlfriend's name and posting nude photos of her on the feed.

Jay Chapa, 21, was arrested Wednesday by Pinal County sheriff's deputies after an investigation into the account reported by a 19-year-old San Tan Valley woman that began April 14.

She told deputies she never gave Chapa permission to create the account and repeatedly asked him to delete it and the contents. Instead, she said, Chapa sent the information to more than 80 of her friends.

She said he told her he did it as revenge for her no longer dating him.

Chapa was questioned by detectives from the PCSO Criminal Investigation Bureau and booked into jail on the felony counts.

"The victim had allowed Chapa to take the photographs of her while the two were dating," Sheriff Paul Babeu said. "Chapa used the photos after their relationship ended in an unlawful manner and in an attempt to cause the victim pain and embarrassment. While he may have thought it was a good idea at the time, he now realizes he is facing 10 felony offenses because of his ... actions."
