FLORENCE, AZ (CBS5) -
A 27-year-old San Tan Valley man has been sentenced to life in prison for sexually abusing two young girls for more than a year while their mother was at work.
Jorge Molina was sentenced Monday and will not be eligible for parole for 89 years, said Pinal County Attorney Lando Voyles. Molina had been found guilty in April of four counts of sex-related charges against the two girls, then ages 5 and 8, Voyles said.
The Pinal County Sheriff's Office began its investigation into the case on Jan. 26, 2013, when the two girls told an adult of what they believed was inappropriate behavior, Voyles said. That adult reported the crime to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
Forensic interviewers at the Pinal County Attorney's Office Family Advocacy Center in Eloy learned that Molina sexually abused the children for more than a year while their mother was at work.
Molina was arrested Feb. 8, 2013, and the Pinal County Attorney's Office indicted him on two counts of molestation of a child under the age of 15 and two counts of sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 15.
