Prescott task force focuses on DUI drivers

PRESCOTT, AZ (CBS News) -

Prescott police said one person could be charged with extreme DUI after a blood alcohol test measured 0.296 percent, more than three times the legal limit, during one of many traffic stops Saturday.

The stop was part of a DUI saturation patrol by the Tri-City DUI Task Force in anticipation of Cinco de Mayo celebrations in Prescott, said Prescott police Sgt. Corey Kasun.

Prescott officers arrested 11 people, including four for driving under the influence of alcohol, one for driving under the influence of drugs, five for driving with a suspended driver's licenses and one for having an open container inside a vehicle.

Kasun said the average blood alcohol concentrations was 0.130 percent.
