LOS ANGELES (AP/CBS5) -

Landings and takeoffs have resumed at Los Angeles-area airports after technical problems.

The FAA said Wednesday that service had resumed after flights from the region had been grounded for about 90 minutes amid the problems at an air traffic control facility.

The problems had rippled across the West, with planes also temporarily kept from heading into the Los Angeles area.

The exact nature of the computer trouble was not specified.

In Phoenix, officials at Sky Harbor International Airport said all flights that were being held are beginning to depart for Los Angeles. Those picking up a passenger arriving from Los Angeles should check flight status before coming to the airport, officials advised.

Fifteen flights that were due to land in Los Angeles were diverted to Phoenix Sky Harbor.
