MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) -

The tapes show the danger deputies faced as soon as they showed up to look for a wanted man who had a gun. However all of the tapes haven't been released.

"He's got a gun a gun where? Where? Out the back door," said officers from police chatter over their radios.

Back in March, Cuyahoga County Sheriff's deputies went to a home in Middleburg Heights, looking for Israel Rondon.

Rondon had been wanted for over a year on a weapons charge, and more.

Deputies say Rondon came out of the house shooting at them. The tapes show things turned tense immediately.

Investigators say Rondon belonged to a movement that doesn't believe in our regular laws.

We've been demanding the police radio tapes for weeks, as they are public record.

The county finally gave us something, but still only released a few short clips.

More about this incident remains a mystery.

"Get me some units out here. Got a male with a gun inside the house. Got the house surrounded," said another officer on the tape.

Investigators with the state attorney general's office are following up to see just what happened and how. The case will also be reviewed by a prosecutor.

The few audio clips tell us more, but we'll keep pushing for the rest.
