Kingman man accused of shoving gun into wife's mouth

KINGMAN, AZ (CBS5) -

A 28-year-old Kingman man could face several felony assault and domestic violence charges for allegedly forcing the barrel of a handgun into his wife's mouth on Friday.

Cody James Farmer was arrested about 9:10 p.m. Friday walking outside his home as Mohave County deputies investigated a reported disturbance, said Trish Carter of the Mohave County Sheriff's Office.

Farmer's 27-year-old wife said they were driving home when she pulled the car to the side of the road and he tried to force the barrel of the gun into her mouth, cutting her chin in the process, Carter said.

Farmer was found with marijuana and a pipe in his front pants pocket, and a loaded 9mm handgun was found on the property, Carter said.

Farmer was booked into the Mohave County Jail on charges of felony endangerment per domestic violence, felony aggravated assault per domestic violence, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanors.
