FLORENCE, AZ (CBS5) -

A San Tan Valley man is accused of re-selling marijuana he bought at medical marijuana shops for profit.

Detectives said they received a tip in February that Phillip Vaughn, 32, was selling high-grade hydroponic marijuana, and during the next few weeks sold the pot to an undercover detective on several occasions, according to a Pinal County Sheriff's Office spokesman.

Vaughn agreed to meet the detective at a Walmart on West Hunt Highway on March 27 for another sale. The officer paid $100 for two kinds of the marijuana and Vaughan was taken into custody by the PCSO Narcotics Task Force as he was leaving.

Detectives said Vaughn used an Arizona Medical Marijuana Program identification card to purchase the pot at various medical marijuana shops in and around San Tan Valley and re-selling it to people for a profit.

He was booked into the Pinal County jail on charges of possession of marijuana for sale and possession of marijuana.
