Police said a man tried to have a password reset on an Apple MacBook Pro stolen from a Mesa home, but was denied by employees before the suspect fled.
The homeowner told police the burglary happened between noon March 13 and 5:30 p.m. March 14.
Police said an unknown number of suspects forced their way into the home and stole several items, including a Dell Latitude laptop with an external hard drive and the MacBook Pro.
On March 15, the suspect showed up at the Apple Store in the Chandler Mall for an appointment under the name of Manuel Mendoza and requested to have the password reset, police said.
After he was refused he left the store in a silver Chrysler 300 sedan with dark, tinted windows and possible temporary tag in the upper left rear window, police said.
The suspect is described as Hispanic, 20 to 25 years old, 5'8" to 5'10" tall, medium build, short black hair and wearing a long-sleeve shirt with tan pants and black tennis shoes.
A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered. Tipsters are eligible for the reward if they contact Silent Witness prior to arrest or indictment to be eligible for any reward.

Police are also looking for 42-year-old Gerald Myers. He is wanted for probation violation after charges of luring a minor for sexual exploitation and failing to register as a sex offender.
Myers is described as 6'3" tall and weighs 290 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
There's also a warrant out for the arrest of 34-year-old Orlando Earle. He is wanted for violating probation after an attempted sexual assault charge.
Earle is described as 5'7" tall and weighs 200. He has black hair and a brown eyes. He has tattoos on his chin and neck and a clown tattoo on his left forearm.
