State police confiscated 591 bags of heroin and cash following a traffic stop.
DEERFIELD, MA (WSHM) -
The passenger of a Vermont vehicle claimed ownership of more than 500 bags of heroin following a traffic stop at about 5 p.m. Saturday.
State police patrolling Interstate 91 in Deerfield pulled over a Ford Fusion for motor vehicle violations. As a result of an investigation, 591 bags of heroin and four ecstasy pills were located, according to a news release from the Massachusetts State Police media relations office.
Ashley Trevorrow, 26, of Bellows Falls, VT, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a class A substance, possession of a class B substance and conspiracy to violate a drug law. She was also charged with a misdemeanor for failure to appear in Northampton District Court.
The driver, identified as Ryan Rivett, 22 of Bellows Falls, VT, was issued a criminal complaint application and released.
