A man arrested in Phoenix on Saturday on suspicion of a Valentine's Day drive-by shooting in Youngtown was also accused of being behind two other shootings in the Valley.

Maricopa County sheriff's deputy's arrested Daniel Alexander Rodriguez, 23, at his home near 40th Street and McDowell Road around 1:30 p.m.

Rodriguez was apparently in a relationship with a 16-year-old girl. She along with her parents were identified as victims.

On Jan. 31, sheriff's deputies were called to a shooting at the intersection of 116th Lane and Cheryl Drive. A resident reported seeing Rodriguez and the teen girl arguing. Rodriguez fired several 9mm rounds randomly at a home to the north in an effort to scare the teenager, sheriff's investigators said. The girl entered the car, and they drove off together.

MCSO said Rodriguez is tied to a third shooting in Phoenix. He is suspected of shooting at a house where the 16-year-old girl was staying.

Rodriguez was using a false identification because he is wanted in Florida for burglary and resisting arrest, sheriff's deputies said.

Rodriguez was booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail on charges of kidnapping, aggravated assault, shooting at an occupied structure, weapon misconduct and identity theft.
