PD: 2 men hurt in Phoenix home invasion

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A man and a teenage boy were injured after armed robbers broke into their home and took valuables early Monday morning, according to a Phoenix police spokesman.

Sgt. Steve Martos said the 43-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were home with another 17-year-old boy and getting ready for work.

The four men broke into the home near 35th and Maryland avenues and assaulted the man and one of the 17-year-olds.

A 24-year-old woman and two girls, ages 6 and 4 years, and a 2-year-old boy, were also in the home when the men broke in.

The woman and children were not harmed.

The suspects took valuables and two vehicles from the residence, Martos said.

The first vehicle is a gray 2007 Ford Focus with Oklahoma license plate 644KNG. The other is a white 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ariziona license plate 4049YK.

The suspects are still on the loose.

No other information was immediately available and the investigation was continuing, Martos said.
