DOUGLAS, AZ (CBS5) -

An Agua Prieta woman is in federal custody after Customs and Border Protection officers found she was transporting marijuana.

The 32-year-old woman was attempting to enter the U.S. Friday afternoon at the Port of Douglas.

A CBP narcotics detection dog alerted officers to drugs in her tires. Inside, officers said they found metal boxes containing a combined 169 pounds of pot worth an estimated $84,500.

In a separate incident, a 19-year-old Cananea man was taken into custody Sunday after officers said they discovered more than 104.5 pounds of marijuana in the rear quarter panels of his Dodge SUV.

The pot was worth in excess of $52,000.

All drugs and vehicles were seized. Both subjects were turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
