Gardner standoff ends with man in custody

GARDNER, KS (KCTV) -

Johnson County deputies have made an arrest after an early morning standoff in Gardner.

It started as a domestic violence situation a little after 6 a.m. Thursday.

When police arrived, a 40-year-old man barricaded himself inside the home at West 174th Terrace and South Osage Street.

After a little more than four hours, the sheriff's department, along with Gardner and Olathe police were able to talk the man out peacefully and make an arrest.

There is no word on charges as of yet. No one was hurt.
