A Phoenix resort has unveiled Arizona's largest life-size gingerbread display.
The Gingerbread Village at JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa features 13 4-feet by 6-feet gingerbread houses plus a clock tower in Santa's Christmas Village.
The dazzling 1,500-square-foot masterpiece of confectionary pleasure was made with 4,000 pounds of gingerbread cookie dough, 3,240 gingerbread bricks to frame and shingle the roofs for houses, 2,000 pounds of icing, 750 pounds of sugar and 25,000 eggs.
The resort's pastry team, consisting of 16 pastry cooks, spent two months crafting the life-size village.
The resort's engineering team built the support structure for the massive gingerbread display.
Santa's elves will make special live character appearances at the Santa's Christmas Village display at the resort while it is open to the public through Dec. 28.
The display is in the resort's grand lobby at 5350 E. Marriott Drive in Phoenix.
