Maricopa County sheriff's deputies were continuing their investigation into a deadly rollover crash on the Bush Highway in which a 9-year-old boy was killed Nov. 19.
Jessica Roberds was driving on the Bush Highway between State Route 87 (Beeline Highway) and Usery Pass Road north of Mesa about 4 p.m. when she apparently lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll.
Her 9-year-old son, Brett Mykel Roberds, was ejected and killed when the vehicle rolled over him, said Maricopa County Sheriff's Lt. Brandon Jones.
Funeral services for Brett Mykel will be Saturday, Nov. 30.
A account in the name of Brett Mykel Roberds has been set up at Wells Fargo banks, according to a family friend.
Roberds had her two other children in the vehicle, but no one else was badly injured, Jones said.
Bush Highway between the SR 87 and Usery Pass Road was closed for more than 4 1/2 hours.
Impairment was not suspected, Jones said.
