Man arrested in connection with Bridgeport fatal shooting

BRIDGEPORT, CT (WFSB) -

Bridgeport police have arrested the man wanted in connection with the city's 11th homicide of the year.

Karlhenry Gay, 29, of Brooklyn, NY, was found with a gunshot to the head at about 3 a.m. on North Avenue on Sunday, police said. Gay was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center, where he died a short time later.

Luis Rivera, 27, was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting on Tuesday afternoon in New Haven.

Rivera was charged with murder and criminal possession of a firearm by a felon.

Gay was shot after police said he was "involved in an altercation with several other individuals" including Rivera outside the Mainport Fish and Chips restaurant.

Rivera is being held on $1 million bond.
