HOUSTON, Oct. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, David Weekley Homes, the nation's largest privately held home builder, announces Preston Wood and his team from architectural firm Preston Wood & Associates, LLC will be joining David Weekley Homes.
Wood and his team have worked with David Weekley Homes since 2008 to design many of the company's Central Living line of homes offered in several of David Weekley's markets, particularly products for high-density, urban living. Central Living is a growing part of Weekley's product offering and has become one of its fastest growing business initiatives. Preston and his team have been instrumental in the success of Central Living by developing innovative land plans to help maximize the opportunity in these high-density communities.
"We have enjoyed our working relationship with Preston and his experienced team, and we are excited to bring them on board to work with us in-house," said David Weekley, Chairman of David Weekley Homes. "This opens up a great opportunity for us to enhance our Central Living program in our markets across the U.S."
Preston Wood & Associates has been active in the Houston market for 30 years, and has worked with individuals for custom-designed residences, as well as developers and home builders.
"I'm very excited to bring my team with me as we join David Weekley Homes," Wood said. "It has been our pleasure to develop some of the Central Living product line and we look forward to expanding that line further with even more innovative land plans and designs."
