PHOENIX (AP) -

Two men have been sentenced to prison in Arizona and ordered to pay restitution in an insurance fraud case.

Prosecutors say Lujayn Al-Ibrahim was sentenced to two years in prison, three years' probation and fined more than $2,300 while Atenogenes Sanchez-Cisneros was sentenced to one year in prison, four years' probation and fined almost $3,200.

Both men were ordered to pay nearly $370,000 in restitution.

They pleaded guilty to felony theft, insurance fraud and money laundering.

The Arizona Department of Insurance's fraud unit says the men used fake names and posed as employees of California-based insurance companies.

The suspects submitted fraudulent demand letters and auto body repair shop invoices, used different post office box locations in Phoenix, Tempe, Tucson and Nogales and operated the scheme while living in Mexico.
