Police are looking for a man who helped himself to cash in a self-checkout in a Surprise grocery store.
Surprise Police Department spokesman Sgt. Mike Donovan said the unidentified man went into the Fry's grocery store at 15510 W. Bell Rd. about 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 10, stole an undisclosed amount of money from the self-check cash drawer and then took off on a mountain bike.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man between the ages of 18 and 22. He's 5'6'' tall with a thin build.
He was last seen wearing a dark shirt, gray shorts and black tennis shoes.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call Surprise Police Department at 623-222-4000 or call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS to remain anonymous.
