Milford students moved to another school after sewage leak

MILFORD, CT (WFSB) -

Students at a Milford middle school were moved to another building after a sewage leak created an odor that made some of them sick, officials said.

Maintenance crews at West Shore Middle School located a leak in one of the sewage pipes on the property on Monday, officials said.

The leak was found after students complained about smelling a "foul odor." Some of them complained of a nauseated feeling, officials said.

Students at West Shore Middle School were moved to the Jonathan Law High School for the remainder of the day, officials said.

The leak is expected to be fixed on Monday, school officials said.

Students are expected to report to West Shore Middle School Tuesday morning.
