GOODYEAR, AZ (CBS5) -

Two Californians face possible drug trafficking charges after they were found with more than 4 pounds of heroin at a Goodyear motel Thursday night, according to a Goodyear police spokeswoman.

Tessa Garcia, 33, and Martin Delgado, 25, both California residents, were arrested about 11:30 p.m. Thursday after Goodyear police received a tip about a vehicle possibly loaded with drugs parked in the lot of a Super 8 Motel at 840 N. Dysart Rd., said Lisa Kutis of the Goodyear Police Department.

Police executed a search warrant on the vehicle and motel room and found 4.2 pounds of heroin and drug paraphernalia. The heroin had an estimated street value of more than $152,000, Kutis said.

Garcia and Delgado told police they were en route to Ohio.

They were booked into jail on several drug charges, including transporting narcotics for sale, on $270,000 each.
