In honor of Children's Cancer Awareness Month, the Phoenix Mercury will host families from Children's Cancer Network when the team takes on the San Antonio Silver Stars tomorrow (Friday, September 6.) Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
In addition, Children's Cancer Network will be the beneficiary of the Mercury's inaugural "Race to the Playoffs," a 5k walk/run taking place in downtown Phoenix on Saturday, September 14. The race, which starts and ends at US Airways Center, will begin at 7 a.m.
Fans can register at www.racetotheplayoffs.com or at any remaining Mercury home game. Registration costs $35 through midnight on September 11, and $45 from September 11 to September 14. Each participant will receive a Mercury drawstring bag, an exclusive "Race to the Playoffs" dry-fit running shirt, and more.
Limited tickets are still available for the Mercury's matchup against the San Antonio Silver Stars on Friday, September 6 at US Airways Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Fans can visit phoenixmercury.com to purchase tickets.
