JASPER, AL (WBRC) -

Walker and Cullman high schools must be cleared by the AHSAA to play this weekend after a brawl between two coaches broke out after last Friday's football game in Jasper.

Walker High School's head coach John Holladay and Cullman's defensive coordinator Matt Hooper exchanged blows near the 30 yard line shortly after Cullman's 13-10 win over Walker. Cell phone video of the fight shows dozens of people on the field.

Hooper left the field with a bloody face and a torn shirt after police reportedly broke up the brawl. Cullman school officials say no disciplinary actions are planned for Hooper or any other Cullman coaches or players.

Walker's coach Holladay has been placed on "indefinite" administrative leave, pending the investigation.

Both the Jasper Police Department and the Alabama High School Athletic Association are investigating the incident.

Administrators from Jasper City Schools and Cullman City schools will appear before the AHSAA on Tuesday, according to Walker Athletic Director Jimmie Alexander.

Alexander says both teams must be cleared by the AHSAA before they can play again this weekend.
