WATERBURY, CT (WFSB) -

A tractor-trailer truck driver was arrested in connection with a water main break in Waterbury earlier this month.

A water main break was reported in the area of West Main and Judd streets on Aug. 9. Police determined that a 2007 Freightliner tractor-trailer truck slammed into a fire hydrant, which caused the water main break.

The Freightliner tractor-trailer truck was being driven by 35-year-old Richard Juchem of Waterbury, who police said was making food and beverage deliveries in the area.

Juchem was arrested on Tuesday and charged with evading responsibility, driving the wrong way on a one-way and improper turn.

Juchem was released with a promise to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 30.
