PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Suns Charities 88, a network of emerging and established community leaders, will hold its inaugural progressive dinner, the "Slam Dunk" street party, on Friday, October 18 in Downtown Phoenix.

The Suns Charities 88 "Slam Dunk" street party, presented by Fidelity National Title Agency, will tip-off with a cocktail reception on the plaza at US Airways Center, then move to Central Avenue for a sit-down dinner. The event will culminate back at the arena with dancing, dessert and live entertainment on the main court level at US Airways Center.

"We are very proud to be a sponsor of such an amazing organization that is 100% committed to giving back to the community and changing lives," said Melissa Shapiro, Vice President, Sales and Marketing of Fidelity National Title Agency. "This organization [Suns Charities 88] is made up of true professionals who realize ‘to whom much is given much is expected in return.' I try to live by the mantra, ‘be the change you wish to see in the world.' It is great to be part of an organization of like-minded professionals."

In honor of the group's name, Suns Charities 88 will offer discounted event tickets beginning today (8/8) for 88 hours (ending at 10 a.m. on August 12) at a rate of $168 for one ticket or $300 for two. Following the discount offer, tickets will be regularly priced at $188 per ticket. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available at Suns.com/SlamDunk.

Suns Charities 88, named after Phoenix Suns Charities' inaugural year, 1988, is a partnership with presenting donor Wells Fargo Bank and focuses on three main principles: professional development, collaborative partnerships and philanthropy. In addition to offering its members the opportunity to network and grow as professionals, the group raises funds for Phoenix Suns Charities, which has granted more than $13 million to Arizona youth and their families since 1988.
