PEORIA, AZ (CBS5) -

Peoria police have arrested one of two suspects they identified in connection with an armed robbery on July 7.

Officers said Greg Prieto, 34, was taken into custody Monday night.

Prieto, along with a female companion, entered a convenience store near 75th and Peoria avenues just after 5 a.m.

The suspect told the clerk that he and his girlfriend were going to take anything they wanted, and if the clerk did anything to stop them, the suspect was "going to blast him."

The suspect led the clerk to believe that he had a gun but never revealed it, police said. Both suspects grabbed merchandise and left the store without paying.

The female suspect is between 18 to 30 years old. She is between 5'5" to 5'7" tall and has red hair.
