By Alex Spearman, News Producer -
A new study shows that economic times are still tough for a lot of parents.
A 33-year-old single mother from Columbus, OH, told
that she struggled to pay for diapers after the birth of her first child.
She says she even skipped changes, and let the baby sit for an amount of time with a wet diaper.
At one point Jessica Aragon says she even considered stealing diapers.
reports that according to a new Yale university study, 30 percent of parents say they have been in the same position. Yale interviewed 877 low-income women for the study.
The mothers also said that the shame they felt also resulted in reduced self-esteem and depression.
