D-Backs recall Roe from Reno; Skaggs optioned Saturday Night

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

The Arizona Diamondbacks have recalled right-handed pitcher Chaz Roe from Triple-A Reno, according to D-backs' Executive Vice President & General Manager Kevin Towers. The D-backs optioned left-handed pitcher Tyler Skaggs (@TylerSkaggs37) to Reno following last night's game.

Roe, 26, went 0-1 with 7 saves and a 1.47 ERA (3 ER in 18.1 IP) in 19 games with Double-A Mobile and Reno this season. He did not allow a run in 6 of his last 7 outings with the Aces, posting 2 saves, 1.29 ERA (1 ER in 7.0 IP) and a .192 (5-for-26) average against.

In 3 relief appearances with Arizona in 2013, Roe was 1-0 with a 4.91 ERA (2 ER in 3.2 IP). He made his Major League debut on July 1 @ Mets (0 ER in 1.2 IP).
