The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today the release of the 2013-14 season schedule. The Arizona Sundogs', eighth season begins on the road and they'll open at home on October 25, 2013.
The CHL is set to begin their 22nd season when games kick off throughout the league on October 18th. The Arizona Sundogs will open on the road with three games against the newest CHL team, the Brampton Beast on October 18th at the Powerade Centre. Following their matchup against the Beast, the Sundogs will return home for a five game stretch. The Sundogs will host the Missouri Mavericks for two games beginning on October 25th and later will host the Rapid City Rush in a three game series beginning October 30th.
The league will consist of 10 teams, all competing in the Berry Conference, including two new expansion teams, the St. Charles Chill and the Brampton Beast. Earlier this summer the Bloomington Blaze opted to join the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) after operating in the CHL for two seasons and the Texas Brahmas went inactive after playing in the Western Professional Hockey League (WPHL) and CHL since 1997.
