SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A Spartanburg man is accused of stabbing a woman in the chest because she was not helping enough with their household chores, according to deputies.
Spartanburg County deputies said they were called to the Ingles Gas on Asheville Highway on Saturday where they found a woman with a deep stab wound to her chest after getting into a fight with Bobby Keller, 69.
Deputies said the victim and another woman had gone to pawn some items and picked up Keller along the way.
The deputy's report said that while stopped at one store, Keller and the victim got into an argument about her not helping enough with the chores and when they got back in the car, he asked the friend to drop the victim off but the friend refused.
Keller told the victim she would not live through the night, so they continued arguing and he told the driver she would be sorry she didn't drop the victim off, according to the report. Then he reached in the backseat, started fighting the victim, stabbed her and got out of the car, deputies said.
The victim was taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center where she told deputies Keller threatened to kill her, the report stated.
Keller was arrested on charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
