The newest drinking trend isn't even to drink at all.
It's known as smoking alcohol, where you pressurize a drink and then breathe it right into your bloodstream.
"When you inhale alcohol, none of it is broken down initially in the walls of the stomach or intestines and none of it is broken down initially in the liver. It's all absorbed in the circulation and can move into your brain," Dr. Steven Curry at Banner Poison Control Center said.
The fad started in 2004 but quickly died down. Now with plenty of examples online, and even a company that makes a pressurizer, the trend has re-emerged.
"We're aware of the practice and it would be surprising if it hasn't gone on or isn't going on," Curry said.
Curry said the fear with so-called smoking alcohol is how fast it affects the user.
"Because it's absorbed so quickly through the lungs, a person feels the effect very quickly. Some scientists believe that the rapid onset may make it more enjoyable and make it more addictive," Curry said.
Curry said just like consuming alcohol the old fashioned way, make sure you're responsible.
"People pour it into their eyes. People take alcohol enemas. People inhale alcohol. People drink alcohol. There are all sorts of different ways to get alcohol on board and the effect is all the same once it's there," Curry said.
The fad is also popular with people looking to watch calories, since the only calories absorbed into the body are from the alcohol, not the sugar.
