Three arrested in meth bust on house boat

Limestone County Sheriff's Deputies arrested three people during a drug bust on a house boat.

Investigators made the bust around 4:00 p.m. Saturday near Buck Island Bridge off Highway 99 in Athens.

Deputies arrested Charles David Greenway, 28, of Athens, Tennessee, Megan Hodge, 19, of Athens, Alabama, and Jason Brewer, 33, of Lynnville, Tennessee. They discovered items used for manufacturing methamphetamine on the boat.

The U.S. Marshal Service and several agencies from Tennessee and north Alabama had been attempting to locate Greenway and Hodge on robbery charges from the Athens Police Department. On May 22nd authorities in Giles County, Tennessee, attempted to arrest Greenway and Hodge for robbery but they escaped on foot.

The Limestone County Sheriff's Office received a tip where these individuals were hiding out. Greenway attempted to flee on foot and was apprehended. Greenway and Hodge will also be charged with robbery. Greenway will also be charged with a probation violation out of Giles County.

All three were booked into the Limestone County Jail.
