The University of Arizona women's golf team competed in the third round of the NCAA Women's Championships today at the University of Georgia Golf Course (par-72, 6,372 yards) in Athens, Ga. today. The Wildcats posted a 297 for the third round, giving them a total score of 890 (+26). Arizona sits in a tie for 13th.
Top ranked USC Trojans take a seventeen-stroke lead into the final round over second place Duke. The Trojans have a total score of 845 (-19) after posting a 285 in the third round. USC's Annie Park also holds the individual lead with a score of 201 (-9) over the first three rounds. She leads by two strokes over Mississippi State's Ally McDonald and Alabama's Stephanie Meadow.
Sophomore Andrea Vilarasau has been the top scorer for the Wildcats through three rounds with a total score of 220 (+4) and sits in a tie for 33rd. Kendall Prince takes a score of 221 (+5) into the third round and is in a tie for 40th. Manon Gidali sits in a tie for 50th with a score of 223 (+7). Patricia Garcia has a total score of 228 (+12) and Janie Jackson has a score of 237 (+21).
