The public will get to weigh in on a proposal to double the fares on two Connecticut River ferries starting in July.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation will hold a meeting Monday night at the Rocky Hill Community Center.
The DOT said fare hikes are needed to offset the rising operations costs.
Under the proposal, vehicle fares would be increased from $3 to $6.
Fares for walk-on passengers and bicyclists will be increased from $1 to $2.
