The Arizona Cardinals Football Club will host the 11th annual "Football Skills and Education Camp" presented by SRP and Dignity Health and fueled by Gatorade on Saturday, May 18 from 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at Lawn C on the south side of University of Phoenix Stadium.
The free camp offers 350 students from high schools across Arizona the opportunity to receive a day of classroom and on-field football instruction from professionals. The classroom segment will include instruction on life skills, physical health and nutrition.
A group of current and former Cardinals players along with Cardinals coaches will be scheduled as position coaches throughout the day. The camp begins with check-in at 8:00 a.m. followed by classroom work, on-field activity and conditioning work until lunch at 1:00 p.m.
In addition, Javier Cardenas, MD, neurologist at Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, will speak to the participants about concussion symptoms, prevention methods and education for parents and coaches.
