University of Arizona women's golf remains in 10th place after day two of the NCAA West Regional Championships. Hosted by Stanford and held at Stanford Golf Course in Palo Alto, Calif., competition is scheduled to go through Sat., May 11.
No. 12 Purdue and No. 7 Vanderbilt share a tie for first place in the team race. They have scores of 577 (+9). No. 1 USC rounds out the top three with a 579 (+11). No. 6 Arizona sits in 10th place with a 598 (+30), after recording rounds of 300 and 298. Annie Park of USC leads the individual race with a score of 138 (-4).
No. 73 freshman Janie Jackson continues to lead the Wildcats. She sits in seventh place with a score of 142 (E) and rounds of 71 and 71. No. 34 Manon Gidali is in an eight-way tie for 51st place. She holds a score of 151 (+9) with rounds of 73 and 78. Sophomore Patricia Garcia shares a four-way tie for 68th place. She shot rounds of 78 and 75 for a score of 153 (+11).
Sophomore Andrea Vilarasau shares a five-way tie for 72nd. She carded rounds of 78 and 76 for a score of 154 (+12). No. 71 sophomore Kendall Prince rounds out the Arizona five in a five-way tie for 84th. She holds a score of 156 (+14) and rounds of 80 and 76.
