Meriden fire officials said they were responding to reports that a plane flipped over at Meriden-Markham Municipal Airport on Tuesday afternoon.
Meriden fire officials were quick to point out that the plane didn't crash, but "flipped over."
According to an official with the Federal Aviation Administration, the single-engine plane was landing at the airport around 2 p.m. when it flipped over. The pilot was the only person on the aircraft and was brought to a local hospital.
The pilot's condition is unknown.
The FAA will investigate the crash.
