CHANDLER, AZ (CBS5/AP) -
Three people are in custody and three others are wanted in connection with the thefts of more than $230,000 in electronics from Valley-wide Walmart stores, police said.
The thefts began last year in mid-July and continued until mid-April.
On Tuesday, Manuel Tafoya, 19, and Joseph Keller, 18, were arrested by property crimes detectives from the Peoria Police Department and Chandler Police Department and booked into Maricopa County Jail.
Tafoya was charged with four counts of organized retail theft, two counts of trafficking in stolen property, two counts of fraudulent schemes and two counts of theft. Keller was charged with 24 counts of organized retail theft, 12 counts of trafficking in stolen property, 12 counts of fraudulent schemes, and 12 counts of theft.
Bobby Joe White, 19, was arrested on April 14 and booked into the Maricopa County Jail on 80 counts of organized retail theft, 40 counts of theft and 40 counts of criminal damage.
Investigators are still seeking a fourth male suspect, Jorge Luis Sotelo, Jr., 19. He is described as Hispanic. He is 6' tall and weighs around 235 pounds.
They are also trying to find two women believed involved in the case.
People with any information about his whereabouts are asked to call the Chandler Police Department at 480-782-4130 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
Silent Witness is offering a reward of up to $1,0000 for information that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of Sotelo. Callers should reference Chandler Police report number 13-19145.
Officers said the thefts were caught on store-surveillance video as the electronics were taken.
Police suspect that the suspects broke into display cases, put items in a cart and left the store through the garden department to an awaiting vehicle.
The getaway vehicle was traced to a hotel and that led to one of the arrests.
