The aunt of Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the brothers suspected in the Boston Marathon bombings, said her family is still in shock over last week's events.
Patiemat Suliemana said the two brothers were not devout Muslims when they left Russia for America.
She said it was only after they arrived in the United States that they began to study Islam.
She said they also called their mother last Thursday, just a day before Tamerlan was killed and Dzhokhar was captured after a massive manhunt.
